Back in 2009, I designed and developed a comprehensive website for Neopost Franking Machines as part of a series of four projects I delivered while working for another company. This was one of my first major builds, and it set the tone for how I approach web development: combining solid technical execution with a focus on user experience and business goals.
The site was built from the ground up to showcase Neopost’s mailing equipment solutions in a professional and user-friendly way. It included custom product sections, comparison tools, and clear calls-to-action to drive quote requests and sales enquiries.
What I Did
- Conducted research into the franking machine industry and Neopost’s product range
- Designed a clear site architecture with intuitive navigation and information hierarchy
- Created wireframes and prototypes to plan the user journey
- Built responsive layouts by hand-coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Developed custom product showcases with specifications, comparisons, and quote request tools
- Optimised performance, SEO, and analytics tracking from the ground up
The Results
- A professional digital presence that positioned Neopost as a leader in their sector
- Increased quote requests through optimised conversion paths
- Reduced customer queries thanks to comprehensive product information
- Strong organic visibility for industry search terms
- A scalable structure that supported ongoing product and business growth
Although this site was delivered while I was working for another company, it remains a key milestone in my career — one of my earliest full-scale projects that demonstrated my ability to build business-focused websites with both technical depth and strategic marketing in mind.
