I developed a fully automated eBay dropshipping system that powered my store, Gadgetly, for several years. The system managed tens of thousands of products at scale, keeping listings accurate, competitive, and profitable with minimal manual work.
The platform integrated directly with suppliers via API, automatically syncing product data, prices, and stock availability. It also pushed listings to eBay, ensuring the store stayed current without constant updates. Alongside this, I implemented AI-driven SEO to optimise product descriptions and improve visibility.
What I Did
- Built an automation system to manage 21,000+ eBay listings
- Integrated supplier APIs for live stock and pricing updates
- Created dynamic pricing rules to stay competitive and protect margins
- Automated listing adjustments to prevent overselling or outdated listings
- Used AI tools to generate optimised product descriptions for SEO and conversions
- Designed the system to scale with no additional staffing needs
The Results
- Ran a fully automated eBay store for 7 years
- Significant time savings through real-time automation
- Consistent sales through optimised listings and competitive pricing
- Demonstrated ability to scale to tens of thousands of SKUs efficiently
I closed this system in 2025 after eBay tightened its restrictions on dropshipping, choosing instead to focus on Gadgetly as a standalone brand and my web development business. It remains one of my flagship projects, showing how I can build large-scale automation systems that integrate suppliers, marketplaces, and AI.
